Lights on the Northside
Lights on the Northside is an annual holiday lighting contest. The event is open to any Northside business. Participation is simple: a business puts up decorations and their decorations are photographed and displayed on the Northeast Hawley Development Association (NEHDA) Facebook page. Voting takes place online in the form of "liking" the photos of holiday displays. Whoever has the highest number of "likes" wins the contest. The winning business receives a Northside-themed gift basket, some added promotion around the holidays through NEHDA and Northside UP's websites and social media platforms, and one free year of NBP membership.
The Northside Showcase is a collaboration between the NBP and St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, which aims to promote buying local by encouraging hospital employees to learn more about the rich and diverse business community that is “Just a Walk Away”. On average, over 350 hospital employees attend the event. Vendors will display local goods and services, provide helpful business information, and offer free samples. Only NBP members can register to participate in this event.
northside Networking events
The NBP regularly hosts networking events. Business and property owners convene around delicious Northside foods to intermingle with fellow Northside stakeholders. Networking events often feature news updates or even the occasional lecture, and are both enjoyable and useful to NBP members.
